Grateful

Though most of my posts are dark recently, because this is where I go to, when I just need to vent or air the darker hurts I do have a ton of things I am grateful for and I am afraid that all I am posting is not the only part of my life and or feelings. I do have more to be grateful for than hurts. I do not want the only memories of my thoughts to be the side I am working on forgiving, and working on changing.
My kids, my new daughhters, my new son in law. my grands. God gave these precious treasures to me. I will always be blessed by these gifts. They are the reason I get up, the reason I keep fighting the battle each day. I pray each of them know how much I love them.

Forever since posting.....

I have really slacked on this particular blog. What have I been up to lately? Hum where to begin.

I have been working on the homeschooling with kids. Learning new things and ways to teach. I am working to not be weak when my kids fuss because they don't want to do something. Trying to keep up the house so it all don't fall apart around me while I am doing this. And as weird as it is, its been easier in that way.

Then there has been good and bad things going on in my life. Good is how amazing my kids and hubby are, HAIN volunteers doing a really sweet thing for me as a "random acts of kindness" gifts. Our whole family was so blessed by their gifts. I do not deserve such wonderful and kindness such as them. They are a true God sent.
My mom she has been just pouring her love on us and this has been a hard year for her. But God is really giving us a peace in Christmas this year. I decided this year I was going to celebrate even if we have nothing. We have one another and that is all that matters! Period. Besides we do have much more then many people in countries I can't complain.

Bad is not worth mentioning and getting myself all worked up over!

In schooling I have been reading some out of a book every school day. The first book was good. I caught myself weeping in front of the kids "Summer of Monkeys". The last book was "I am Rosemarie" it was about a girl who survived the Holocaust. And this new book is "Kavik" the wolf dog. All are good reads. My kids have really enjoyed reading time.

Brian had taken thanksgiving off/ And that week he had off there was a beautiful snow that came down!

Animals were thrilled by that as you can see in picture.
We also decorated our tree and put up the manger scene and Christmas village
We even strung popcorn for the tree. We made allot of homemade Christmas ornaments.

Our tree def has character

That's about it for now.

Oh yeah we also found a nice home for our goats. They were starting to ruin the neighbors property we are using
The family who got them are amazing and doing great. They are a FHA family. So that worked out great!

What have I been up too?

Well I took maternity pictures for my niece Ashlee. James and Ashlee are pregnant with a baby girl named Madeline (Maddie). Maddie has allot of struggles in the womb and will be born needing brain surgery. She will be whisked off right away. Maddie also suffered a stroke in womb and the doctors will not know the severity of that stroke until after Maddie is born. Maddie will be surrounded with love and she will be spoiled.

What else
I have several of these plants growing in my garden and had to share how interesting the leaves are. I found out they are a type of potato plant. Yup the ones we eat. We planted several types of potato's this year but in the past only planted white ones so the plant looks totally different. Cool huh?

And this is Opie, he is the baby goat that lost his momma.

Opie is doing a little better. He is learning to get along with the other goats. He still thinks of me as his other momma so he runs up to me and cries. But he is better then he was before. He was crying so hard his voice would run out. Opie boy is a sweetheart!!

Good bye Goats

Its been a hard week on our farm. We lost 2 goats and the top picture is Larry he is not doing so good. They had got in our feed part of the barn and gorged themselves. Brian burried 2 today and hopefully a miracle will happen and Larry will be ok. I know its silly to be so attached to animals I am sure to some, but not me I cried. I was very attached to Rona the one with her baby in the picture. She and I grew a bond. I can't hardly post this with out choking up.
Opie the baby goat is now old enough thank the Lord to eat on his own and I also bottle raised him. But he tried to jump in the hole with his momma. Brian said. He still cries. We have 4 goats left or at least healthy ones. Just sick by this.

New Baby

Say hello to our new buck.. he is a sweetheart. His name is Opie.

I bottle feed Opie 4-5 times a day. Milking the goat 2 times a day. From 5 am to 5 pm. I feel like a new mom and am tired. But he is so cute. He runs to me when I say his name. He is almost a week old.

Goat Kisses

Yup these goats love to give kisses. Its so funny cause they put their nose on you and they are obsessed with people. They follow you around everywhere. There are tree's in the field and I run around them and of course the goats kick and fart and love chasing you. I play hide and seek and they are quick, no hiding on my part they are way to smart. lol

Goats on the farm

Yup we have goats. Our wonderful neighbor has lots of property right behind our house. She is not using it and has offered to let us use it with the barn. We got goats. Well my mom did so the kids can have them to play with. Goats are so fun to play with and they will be good for eating the black berry bushes down. Here is a picture of 4 of the 5 goats.

Were looking into getting some steer to raise and eat and later mom wants to buy a turkey and a few ducks to eat slugs and such.
God has truely blessed us.
We are working to finish up the show to have work parties for the charity. Not to much more to do, but it will be great once it is ready. We have some local ladies ready to help. Most of our members are online so this will be new to do hands on with people :) I admit I am nervous. Only cuz I do not hang around many people. I stay at home and work from there. Oh well I'll be ok!!
